Instructions:
Use the Green Book (available at Rosa Stores).
Hall ticket and ID card are mandatory. A duplicate hall ticket costs Rs.200.
Duration: 1 Hour 45 Minutes
No entry/exit within the first and last 15 minutes.
Only ID card, hall ticket, stationery, sanitizer, and water bottles allowed.
Confirm seating from the published list.
Fill the answer script as per guidelines.
Sign the attendance sheet.
Question Paper Format:
Mid-Term: 40 Marks
Essay (5–6 pages): 22 minutes
Short Notes (2–3 pages): 13 minutes
Minimum marks to pass: 16 out of 40
External Exam Requirements:
Minimum: 40% in both external and internal.
External: 32 out of 80; Internal: 8 out of 20
60% for provisional registration; 70% attendance to appear for university exams
Course completion within 7 years
Answer Script Guidelines:
Write 11-digit KSLU Registration Number clearly.
Mention question numbers in bold at the top center.
Start a new question on a new page.
Use blue or black pen. Change of ink requires invigilator permission.
Illegible or incorrectly filled answer scripts will not be evaluated.
Submission:
Non-submission or taking the script outside is malpractice.
No resubmissions allowed.
Late or improper submission = marked absent.
Misconduct & Malpractice:
Late entry, wrong seat, missing hall ticket = marked absent
Prohibited items (phones, smartwatches) = malpractice
Disturbances or symbolic messages = disqualification

Consequences:
Reported immediately to the exam cell
Answer script seized; written report filed
Internal: Paper canceled, parents informed
External: Reported to KSLU + institutional action
Dress Code:
Formal dress required (blazers not mandatory)

Mandatory Attendance for Examination Registration
Students must have a minimum of 70% attendance to be eligible for KSLU examination registration.Provisional Registration Criteria
Students with 65% aggregate attendance on the date specified by the University may be provisionally registered by Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL), subject to the Principal’s discretion. These students are expected to achieve 70% attendance by the last instruction day.Examination Fee Requirement
Payment of the examination fee within the deadline set by the University is compulsory for provisional registration.Note: The exam fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including if the student becomes ineligible to appear for the exam.
Eligibility on Last Instruction Day
To appear for the University examinations, a student must have:70% aggregate attendance
70% attendance in each individual subject
The issuance of hall tickets by the University is based on this attendance criterion.

In exceptional cases, students with at least 65% attendance in any subject may be permitted to appear for exams, only at the discretion of the Principal with proper documentation. A report of such cases will be sent to the BCI.
Physical Presence Requirement
The required 70% attendance must be physically obtained through classroom presence.Hospitalization Clause
Students with 65%–69.9% attendance in a subject, but who have 70% aggregate, may submit medical documentation for consideration. The documentation must include:Doctor’s certificate
Prescription signed by the Chief Medical Officer
Discharge summary with dates of admission and treatment
Diagnosis/treatment confirmation
Approval is at the Principal’s discretion and must be submitted on the designated date.
Promotion Criteria to Higher Semesters
As per University norms:A student must have 70% aggregate attendance as of the last instruction day.
Minimum academic eligibility for promotion:
Pass in at least one subject in the Odd Semester
Pass in at least one subject in the Even Semester
(Applicable only for batches prior to 2020–21)
Semester-Wise Promotion Rules
Students not eligible in the Odd Semester will not be promoted to the Even Semester.
Students not eligible in the Even Semester will not be promoted to the next academic year.
Program Completion Timeframe
As per UGC regulations, the maximum duration to complete the 5-year BA/BBA/B.Com LL.B program is 7 years (5 + 2 years) for students admitted from 2020–21 onwards.
Advisory: Students must clear all backlog papers and achieve passing marks in all subjects before promotion to the 5th year / IX Semester.
Action to be taken
01 .In case of malpractice, use of unfair means, misconduct, or misbehavior during an examination, the invigilator, hall supervisor, or examiner must report the incident to the Examination Cell immediately upon observation.
02. The answer script and any incriminating material shall be seized, and the student will be sent out of the examination venue.
03. The candidate will be required to submit a written statement confirming ownership of the unauthorized material and providing details of the misconduct.
04. The invigilator/examiner must prepare a written report of the incident and submit it to the Examination Cell for further action.
Punishments for Malpractice / Use of Unfair Means
A. For Internal Assessments
01. The concerned paper will be cancelled, and the student will be marked zero for that assessment.
02. The parents/guardians of the student will be informed regarding the misconduct.
B. For End-Semester Examinations
01. The incident will be reported to Karnataka State Law University (KSLU). Action will be taken as per the guidelines and directives of KSLU.
02. Additionally, Christ Academy Institute of Law will initiate separate disciplinary proceedings in accordance with its institutional policies.
