Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL)
Christ Academy Group of Institutions were established in 2005 in Bangalore under the trust Devamatha Educational Foundation, with the vision of providing value-based education rooted in excellence and service. The journey began with the establishment of Christ Academy ICSE School, followed by the addition of the CBSE School, PU College, Degree and Postgraduate College (CAIAS), and Law College, making it a comprehensive educational hub.
The Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL) was officially inaugurated on June 10, 2017, under the leadership of its Principal, Father (Prof) Davis Panadan Varghese. As a premier institution dedicated to legal education, CAIL is deeply committed to providing quality clinical legal education that stands out from traditional methods, aiming to cater holistically to the needs of its students, the legal fraternity, and the nation. Highlighting its prestigious inception, the institute’s launch was graced by eminent chief guests, including Prof (Dr) R Venkata Rao, the then-Vice Chancellor of NLSIU Bangalore, and the late Prof (Dr) N Madhava Menon, a Padma Shri awardee widely revered as the “father of modern legal education in India.” Guided by a vision of academic excellence and enriching values, CAIL continues to foster an inspiring environment that enlightens young legal minds and prepares them to serve society with distinction.
The CMI Congregation, inspired by its founder’s legacy, has significantly contributed to education in India and abroad. It manages an extensive network of institutions that continue to enlighten minds and transform lives across the globe.
