Overview of 3-Year LL.B. Programmes
The 3-Year LL.B. Programme offered by Christ Academy Institute of Law is a full-time professional undergraduate programme in law, designed for graduates from any discipline who aspire to pursue a career in the legal field. The programme is conducted in accordance with the Karnataka State Law University’s Regulations Governing the Three Year LL. B. Degree Course in Law.
Programme Outcomes
To provide students with an in-depth and comprehensive legal education that covers various aspects of law, including both general and specialised areas.
To foster a culture of legal research, scholarly writing, and critical analysis, encouraging students to contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship and academia.
To equip students with the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and ethical values to excel in the legal profession, including legal practice, advocacy, and professional conduct.
To expose students to International and Comparative law, promoting a global perspective and understanding of legal systems beyond their jurisdiction.
To offer opportunities for students to specialise in specific areas of law, enabling them to develop expertise in fields such as environmental law, intellectual property, human rights or corporate law.
Regulations Governing 3-Year LL.B.
Course Duration and Structure
The 3-Year LL.B. Programme is a full-time undergraduate law programme designed to provide comprehensive legal education over a period of three academic years. The programme is structured in accordance with the regulations prescribed by Karnataka State Law University (KSLU).
- Duration: Three academic years comprising six semesters.
- Academic Year: Each academic year is divided into two semesters.
- Semester Period: Each semester extends over six months, including a minimum of 18 weeks of instruction.
- Teaching Hours: Every subject is taught for a minimum of 90 hours per semester.
