Overview of 5-Year Integrated LL.B. Programmes
Christ Academy Institute of Law offers three integrated double degree programmes in law at the undergraduate level. Each programme is of five years’ duration, structured across ten semesters, and aims to provide interdisciplinary knowledge alongside professional legal education.
B.A. LL.B.
The integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws programme offers a combination of Humanities subjects and Legal Studies, fostering critical thinking, social understanding, and legal acumen.
B.B.A. LL.B.
The integrated Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws programme combines the study of Business Administration with Legal Studies, enabling students to develop a strong foundation in business concepts alongside core areas of law.
B.Com. LL.B.
The integrated Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws programme merges the study of Commerce and Accountancy with Law, equipping students with commercial insight and legal proficiency required for corporate and financial legal practice.

Regulations Governing 5-Year Integrated LL.B.
Course Duration and Structure
The B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and B.Com. LL.B. programmes are full-time, integrated undergraduate law programmes with the following structure:
- Duration: The duration of each integrated law programme shall be five academic years, comprising ten semesters.
- Academic Year: Each academic year shall be divided into two semesters.
- Semester Period: Each semester shall extend over a period of six months, including a minimum of 18 weeks of instruction.
- Teaching Hours: Each subject shall be taught for a minimum of 90 hours per semester.
- Internship Break: An internship break shall follow the end of each academic year as per the Bar Council of India guidelines and institutional internship policy.
The 5-Year Integrated LL.B. programmes are conducted in accordance with the Karnataka State Law University Regulations governing the respective programmes.
Medium of Instruction
2. Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction for all courses offered under the B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and B.Com. LL.B. programmes shall be English. All examinations, including internal assessments and university examinations, shall be conducted in English, and examinees are required to answer the question papers in English only.
Attendance
As per KSLU Regulations (as amended in 2020 via Fifth Amendment, notified to the Institution on 22/02/2021 via Notification No. KSLU/ADM/2020-21/1633)
Prohibition against Lateral Entry and Exit
There shall be no lateral entry on the plea of graduation in any subject or exit by way of awarding a degree splitting the integrated double degree course, at any intermediary stage of the integrated double degree course.
Promotion
As per KSLU Regulations (as amended in 2020 via Fifth Amendment, notified to the Institution on 22/02/2021 via Notification No. KSLU/ADM/2020-21/1633)
Award of Degree
A student shall be eligible for the award of the B.B.A. LL.B., B.A. LL.B., or B.Com. LL.B. degree upon the successful completion of all prescribed courses across the ten semesters of the programme. Additionally, the student’s character and conduct must be certified as satisfactory by the institution throughout the duration of the course.
Award of Classes
The classification of the degree shall be based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained across all semesters. The classes shall be awarded as follows:
- First Class with Distinction: 70% and above
- First Class: 60% and above but less than 70%
- Second Class: 50% and above but less than 60%
- Pass Class: 40% and above but less than 50%
