ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
5 YEAR LL.B
For admission to the 5-year LL.B. course at Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), candidates
must hold
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (60% marks for SC/ST candidates)

o For General Category - 20 years
o For SC/ST and OBC Communities - 22 years

For admission to the 3-year LL.B. course at Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), candidates
must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of
45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST and 42% for OBC). Candidates who obtained their degree
via a single-sitting exam are not eligible.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
oEducational Qualification: A bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) or equivalent from a
recognized Indian or Foreign University.
Minimum Marks:
o General Category: 45% or above in the qualifying examination (44.5% or more is
considered 45%).
o OBC Category: 42% or above (41.5% or more is considered 42%).
o SC/ST Category: 40% or above (39.5% or more is considered 40%).
o Age Limit: Age limit was 30 years for general candidates and 35 years for SC/ST/OBC
candidates.
o Other Conditions: Graduates who passed their degree in a "single sitting" are not
eligible.
oEligibility Certificate: Candidates holding a degree from universities outside Karnataka
must obtain an eligibility certificate from KSLU.
Candidates can apply through the official KSLU website, and admissions are typically based on
merit and the reservation policy of the Government of Karnataka

o Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed an LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-
year) from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent Foreign University.
o Minimum Marks: Minimum of 45% aggregate for General Merit and 40% for SC/ST
categories.
o Final Year Students: Candidates awaiting final year exam results may also apply.o Non-Karnataka Students: Students from outside Karnataka need to submit an Eligibility
Certificate.
o Document Submission: Essential documents include SSLC/10th marks card (for age
proof), PUC II/12th mark card, all LLB semester marks cards, transfer certificate, and
caste/income certificate (if applicable).
