GENDER SENSITISATION COMMITTEE

Christ Academy Institute of Law is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all its students, faculty, and staff. The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell (ASHC) has been constituted in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The primary objective of the Cell is to prevent any form of sexual harassment on campus and to address grievances in a timely, confidential, and sensitive manner. The Cell conducts awareness programs, workshops, and sensitization sessions to promote gender equality and ensure a respectful and secure atmosphere within the institution.

The Cell provides a platform for individuals to report incidents of harassment, and ensures that appropriate action is taken following a fair and impartial inquiry.

2025 COMMITTEE EVENTS

IMPLEMENTING GENDER JUSTICE THROUGH LAW

17th MARCH 2025

Christ Academy Institute of Law successfully hosted a thought-provoking event titled “Implementing Gender Justice Through Law” on 17th March 2025. The session brought together legal scholars, practitioners, and students to engage in meaningful discussions on the role of law in achieving gender equality and justice in contemporary society.

The event featured insightful talks addressing key issues such as gender-based violence, workplace discrimination, legal reforms, and the importance of inclusive policy-making. It aimed to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of legal professionals to advocate for equitable legal practices.

The program was a part of the institution’s continued commitment to promoting human rights, social justice, and academic engagement on pressing societal concerns. It served as a platform for critical dialogue and reflection, reinforcing the significance of legal education in driving transformative change.
