LEGAL AID COMMITTEE

About
Legal Aid Committee

The Legal Aid Committee at Christ Academy Institute of Law is committed to promoting legal awareness and extending legal assistance to the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. The committee works under the guidance of the Legal Services Authority and strives to instill a sense of social responsibility among students by involving them in legal literacy drives, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs.

Through various initiatives such as legal aid camps, street plays, awareness sessions, and pro bono services, the committee bridges the gap between law and justice for the common man. The committee also encourages students to understand the practical implications of legal principles and develop empathy, communication skills, and professional ethics.

Our goal is to build a society where legal knowledge is accessible to all, and justice is not denied to anyone due to economic or social constraints.

Nyaya Shraddha – Legal Awareness Initiative by the Legal Aid Committee

The Legal Aid Committee of Christ Academy Institute of Law organized “Nyaya Shraddha”, a dedicated legal awareness event aimed at empowering individuals with knowledge of their rights and remedies under the law. This initiative focused on sensitizing the public, especially the marginalized sections of society, about fundamental legal rights, the importance of access to justice, and the role of legal aid in ensuring equality before the law.

The event featured interactive sessions, expert talks, legal literacy activities, and outreach programs conducted by law students and faculty. “Nyaya Shraddha” not only served as a platform to bridge the gap between the legal system and the common people but also encouraged students to engage in socially relevant legal education and community service.

Through this initiative, the Legal Aid Committee reaffirmed its commitment to justice, service, and legal empowerment for all.
