ADMISSION PROCESS

The admission process at Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL) is designed to select motivated and deserving candidates who show potential in pursuing a career in law. Below is a detailed description of the admission procedure for the various programs offered at CAIL.

â–ºApply online. Visit the college website (www.calaw.in) for accessing online application.

â–ºIncomplete application form will be considered invalid.
There would be a written test and 2 rounds of interview. The interview date will be intimated through call/email/ SMS.

â–ºThe criteria for selection will be as below:
a. Written exam – 50%
b. 1st round Interview – 5%
c. 2nd round Interview -15% (offline interview for Karnataka Students)
d. 10+2 or equivalent examination – 20%
e. 10th marks – 10%

Students appearing for LSAT / CLAT are exempted from the written test. The LSAT / CLAT score will be given 50% weightage.
Students attaining minimum 65% aggregate marks from the above criteria’s will only be eligible for admission (60% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates).

â–ºSelected candidates must pay the prescribed fees on or before the last date mentioned in the admission letter.

â–ºSelected candidates must submit the original certificates mentioned below at the time of admission.
The admission shall be subject to final approval by the Karnataka State law University.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

Please submit all required documents, including a completed application form, proof of identity, educational certificates, and any other relevant materials as per the guidelines. Incomplete or incorrect submissions may lead to delays in processing.

â–º10th & 12th or equivalent board Marks Statement

â–ºTransfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.

â–ºConduct Certificate.

â–ºMigration Certificate in the case of students who have qualified exams o Karnataka PU Board (ISC/CBSE/Other state universities).

â–ºTwo attested copies of Marks Sheets.

â–ºCaste Certificate and other documents as applicable.
Ten recent passport-size photographs.

FOREIGN NATIONALS

Foreign nationals applying to Christ College of Law must submit all required documents, including a valid passport, student visa or residence permit, proof of English proficiency, and relevant academic certificates. Incomplete or incorrect submissions may lead to delays or rejection of the application.

In addition to the documents applicable above, foreign nationals need to submit the following
documents:
