The 2-year LLM program at Christ Academy of Law is structured to offer in-depth study and understanding of complex legal systems. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering a comprehensive approach to legal education. Students gain exposure to various areas of law and have the option to specialize in specific fields depending on their interests and career goals.

3. Moot Court and Practical Training:

  • Christ Academy of Law places a strong emphasis on practical legal skills through activities like moot court competitions, where students simulate real court proceedings.
  • The department has well-equipped moot courtrooms and organizes intercollegiate moot court competitions to enhance students’ advocacy skills and help them gain confidence in legal practice.
  • Internships and clinical training programs with reputed law firms, courts, and corporate houses offer students hands-on experience in the legal field.

4. Legal Research and Dissertations:

Activities and Training 2024-2025

Judicial Service Training Academy

CAIL is the first institution in India where Judicial Services Training is given as a part of curriculum at a nominal cost. Judicial Service Training Academy is established at CAIL with the mission to train the students for the judicial service examinations. The 3rd, 4th and 5th year students will be trained by a senior resource person who is an expert in the field.

• 1st Semester – Internship at a national or international NGO 2nd Semester- Internship under a trial court lawyer
• 3rd Semester – Internship under a High Court lawyer
• 4th Semester – Internship with District Legal Services Authority
5th Semester – Internship in the field of Legal Education/ Judicial clerkship/ Parliamentary and Legislative Committees
• 6th Semester to 10th Semester – Internship of student’s choice art

One of the principal focus areas of CAIL is research and publication. Since its inception, the faculty members of CAIL have endeavoured to bring out books on various subjects of law according to the KSLU syllabus. CAIL has already made a mark in a publication by bringing out 50 textbooks in a years. CAIL is committed to bringing out text books on all subjects offered by the Karnataka State Law University in their LL.B. Programme.

CAIL has highly qualified faculty members, combining the experience of seniors and the enthusiasm of freshers. Most of the faculty members are Ph. D. holders from prestigious national institutions and are engaged in research and publication in emerging areas of law and society. CAIL is an institute fostering excellence in teaching, research and community service. Teaching and pedagogy are designed to give extensive exposure to students to domestic, international and comparative law courses.
