ABOUT
CENTRE FOR PROMOTION OF KANNADA LEGAL LITERATURE AND SUSTAINABLE VILLAGES

The Centre for Promotion of Kannada Legal Literature and Sustainable Villages at Christ Academy Institute of Law is an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between legal education and regional language accessibility. The Centre works to promote legal awareness through the development and dissemination of Kannada legal literature, making the law more understandable and accessible to the local population. It encourages translation, publication, and use of Kannada in legal discourse, especially for rural communities and aspiring Kannada-medium law students.

Alongside promoting regional language engagement, the Centre also contributes to rural development through legal literacy drives, awareness campaigns, and field projects in villages. By integrating sustainability goals with legal empowerment, the Centre envisions self-reliant, informed rural communities that are aware of their rights and equipped to assert them. This dual focus strengthens both cultural inclusivity in legal education and community-oriented service.
