Gender Sensitization Committee

The Gender Sensitization Committee of CAIL aims to foster an environment where people can openly discuss and learn about gender issues without fear of judgment. Our vision is to sensitize every individual in the college regarding gender-based inequities in our society and encourage individuals to think more deeply and critically about gender roles and gender dynamics. Gender sensitization is critical to understand gender stereotypes and roles imposed on us and recognize how these gender roles may limit our potential. It also empowers us to challenge these gender roles and advocate for a more equitable and inclusive society. Even as a new and budding committee, we have initiated several events, including a special lecture by Ms. Ashwini K.P., the first Indian UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance. The GSC also organized a Block and Tackle Debate an online Elocution competition and several other related events.
